As the Libra energy from the New Moon eclipse starts to settle in, I hope you are all welcoming in a little more balance and harmony. We can still utilize this energy for a few days, so keep in your minds eye your peaceful place within, pulling it closer to you.
This is an exciting week for the higher self as Jupiter goes into a retrograde on Wednesday October 9th. (This happens every 13 months) In Astrology, Jupiter symbolizes growth, expansion, laws, faith and ethics that guide it. It represents a sense for development and support, which can lead to opportunities, wealth and faith.
This retrograde period is a time for reflection and personal growth and it can be an opportunity to reassess long-term goals, question limiting beliefs, and delve into one's philosophies and aspirations. This is a great time for leaning into Jupiter as a teacher, a guide to your higher self.
For most, this will be a time for deep expansion spiritually. We are also entering the dark period of the year, inviting us all to take a deep look at self, with the lens of love of course.
Pluto will go direct on October 12th. Pluto has been in retrograde since May 2nd, and will now be going back the other direction (forward in the Zodiac). In astrology, Pluto signifies death and rebirth. It is the planet of regenerative forces, of destruction and annihilation, and then complete transformation. The keyword is elimination; Pluto wipes the slate clean.
Pluto has a way of pulling you into the depths in order for you to come out better afterward.
Pluto returning to its direction to Aquarius brings the stability and movement we all need to put back together the pieces left behind in the wake of a Pluto retrograde period. This is a time for those hidden things to start seeping to the surface. Don’t be surprised if someone from your past suddenly makes a reappearance in your life to shake things up. Pluto’s energy is a little chaotic feeling, so lean into those skills of self-soothing when this Plutonian energy comes crashing into you. Some of the more darker qualities of ourselves and of others will be revealed as Pluto continues into the sign of Aquarius in January. The energy of Capricorn is Saturn ruled and can feel punishing. However, think of this as a teacher rather than an executioner. Where you are feeling this pain, is likely where you have some work to do for acceptance, letting go, and soothing. Emotional suffering can help guide us where to apply self-compassion next.
